Customer Complaint - Lack of power steering.
Once the vehicle was lifted into the air it was obvious to see why there was no power steering from a visual inspection. The power steering motor had broken away from the steering rack.
New power steering rack fitted to rectify the issue.

Customer complaint - Traction control, ABS and the engine management lights illuminated on the dashboard.
We carried out a global code scan which showed faults for incorrect wheel speed. Monitoring data showed that our issue was with the drivers rear wheel speed. We scoped both wires of the sensor and found unexpected voltage readings. Carrying out a voltage drop test lead us to a corroded wire within the harness.
We repaired the wire to rectify the issue with no parts required.

Customer Complaint - multiple warning lights illuminated.
This vehicle had been to the customers local garage first who were unable to rectify the issue.
Carrying out our industry leading DPF Doctor assessment we found two underlying issues that were causing the warning lights to be illuminated on this vehicle.
Once we rectified the issues found using genuine Volkswagen parts we carried out an extended road test while data logging the DPF system to make sure it is functioning correctly and ready to hand back to the customer.

Peugeot 207 - Diagnostic assessment and repair.
Customer complaint- steering feels heavy.
We carried out our assessment to find that that power steering module was seeing no supply voltage on our data. After consulting the manufacturer wiring diagram to build our test plan, we then proceeded to carry out our tests. Checking the can-bus network on the oscilloscope and load testing our wiring to the module. Everything was as expected and a new module was required.
New module supplied and fitted to rectify the steering issue.

All fault codes relating to the mass air flow meter. Using correct testing methods we ruled out that there was no fault with the mass air flow meter and a leaking pipe was causing the issue.
New genuine pipe supplied and replaced to rectify the fault, proving once again why testing is so vital for a accurate fix.

Customer Complaint - Failed the mot due to excess exhaust smoke.
Understanding data and what the values should be allowed us to quickly find a direction for testing.
We found that our issue was caused by a severely blocked MAP sensor.
New genuine MAP sensor fitted and recommendation to the customer that an intake clean is carried out on the vehicle.
The vehicle was then took back to the original test station and passed with flying colours.

Ford Transit - Diagnostic assessment and repair.
Customer Complaint - Vehicle intermittently cuts out, looses all dashboard illumination and then will not restart.
We carried out a global code scan of all the systems and found over 15 fault codes! After carrying out some physical testing we found that the issue was been caused through a high and medium speed communication fault.
Using our knowledge of communication systems and studying the wiring diagram we built a test plan so we could diagnose the issue first time.
Several test procedures later proved that the CJB module was corrupting the communication systems.
Genuine module was supplied, fitted and programmed to rectify the issue.

Customer complaint - Various warning lights illuminated.
Fault codes related to ‘abs module internal failure’. So does this mean that we should replace the abs module because the fault code says so? Absolutely not!
We carried out our testing routine and found there to be a fault in the wiring harness. This was then traced to a pair of corroded wires!
Both wires repaired correctly to rectify the issue with no parts required and back on the road the same day.
